A special opportunity to learn some of the history and practice of Commedia dell’Arte with Bologna’s famous Fraternal Compagnia APS. Originating in Padua in 1545, Commedia dell’Arte is the Italian theatrical tradition which utilises body expression, improvisation, mask work, physical awareness and theatrical storytelling skills to create a relationship between performers and spectators. Explore the roots of Italian theatre and folk storytelling and discover techniques to help develop a relationship with your audience in this ancient, but fully relevant, artform.
