Traverse Theatre
Traverse Theatre, 10 Cambridge Street, Edinburgh EH1 2ED
Step into the liminal space where the clock strikes thirteen and the ordinary dissolves into the uncanny. The Witching Hour brings together a collection of new writing from emerging playwrights exploring the eerie; where the veil between worlds wears thin. Step into new realms where the scriptures become unscripted, the frightening become the frightened and the paranormal becomes… normal? This work-in-progress performance blurs reality and imagination and invites its audience to confront darkness, within and without. Each piece is a glimpse of a bold new voice in contemporary theatre. Expect haunting narratives, veiled humour and provocative performances. From distortions of classic characters to tales twisted beyond recognition, The Witching Hour is a celebration of the places.
