Step into the subconscious with Confessions of a Shinagawa Monkey, the award-winning international production that brings the celebrated world of author Haruki Murakami to the stage. Created by Matthew Lenton and Sandy Grierson, and featuring a cast from Scotland and Japan, the story follows an ordinary woman whose life shifts off-course one day when she forgets her own name, and a traveller who meets a beer-drinking monkey who speaks ‘human language’. The production uses an atmospheric mix of performance, puppetry, striking soundscapes and lighting design, offering an unforgettable journey into the surreal.
