What does life look like after fifty? What do we dream about, laugh about and worry about? And what happens when we challenge the assumptions about growing older? Both poignant and humorous, The Flames is a striking, contemporary mix of storytelling, film, live music and performance. Inspired by everyday life, it brings together real stories, ideas, hopes and dreams in a joyful, thought-provoking exploration of life after fifty. Created in just six days, the show explores the big and little moments that shape our lives, celebrating the experiences of growing older and the possibilities that come with it. The Flames is a multimedia performance company for people aged 50+, with performances across Scotland and Japan.
